My Infusa is Malta's first dedicated matcha brand — built on the belief that what you put in your body matters, and that matcha deserves to be understood properly before it becomes part of your routine.
Malta has discovered matcha. You see it on café menus, in health shops, on social media. But most of what is available here is low-grade powder — made for baking, not for drinking — sold without context, without education, and without much care for what ends up in your cup. We started My Infusa because we understood the difference, and we believed Malta deserved better.
We know what good matcha actually is
Good matcha is not a wellness trend. It is one of the most nutrient-dense forms of tea that exists — the whole leaf, ground and consumed rather than steeped and discarded. That distinction matters: when you drink matcha, you are consuming everything the leaf contains, not just what dissolves into hot water.
What that means in practice: natural caffeine paired with L-theanine, an amino acid found almost exclusively in tea, that produces a quality of energy coffee simply cannot. Calm, sustained, focused — without the spike, without the anxiety, without the mid-afternoon crash. For people who drink coffee out of necessity but dislike what it does to them, matcha is a considered and genuinely effective alternative. For people who have never liked coffee at all, it fills that space entirely.
Then there is the quality question. Not all matcha delivers this. Cheap, low-grade matcha tastes bitter, dissolves poorly, and gives you very little of what makes the tea worth drinking in the first place. We understand what separates a genuinely premium drinking matcha from what fills most supermarket shelves: the harvest timing, the shading process that concentrates chlorophyll and L-theanine in the leaf, the stone grinding that preserves the compounds most processing destroys. That knowledge is built into every product we stock at My Infusa. We do not sell anything we would not drink ourselves.
Why Malta, why now
Malta is a small market with a growing curiosity about matcha — but almost no access to quality product or honest information about what to buy. Most people trying matcha here for the first time encounter the wrong thing: too bitter, too harsh, nothing like what they saw online or tasted somewhere abroad. They assume they do not like matcha when the reality is they have not tried good matcha.
My Infusa exists to close that gap. To give Malta access to genuine quality — premium drinking matcha, properly graded, sourced with care — alongside the education to understand what makes it worth buying. Whether that means a daily matcha latte to replace your morning coffee, a quiet bowl prepared the traditional way, or simply a cleaner source of energy that works better for your body, we are here to make it straightforward.
We are a small, independent brand. Every product decision, every piece of content, every order that leaves Malta is something we care about personally. That will not change as we grow.
What is coming next
Matcha is where we started, but it is not where we stop. Loose leaf tea is coming to My Infusa very soon — sourced with the same standards, the same commitment to quality, and the same intention to bring something genuinely worth drinking to Malta. We will share more when it is ready.
